Onijah Andrew Robinson, a 33-year-old American woman from New York, met a 19-year-old Pakistani man, Nidal Ahmed Memon, through social media. Robinson allegedly heavily filtered herself in her profile, presenting herself as a blonde, white woman. Memon, who works at a call center in Karachi, suggested she come stay with him.
And so, in October, 2024, Robinson did what any woman madly in love with the call center boy might do: she left her life behind. She divorced her husband, abandoned her children, and flew across the world to meet the man she believed was her destiny. But when she arrived in Karachi, there was no warm welcome. Memon’s family rejected her, and her supposed fiancé disappeared, leaving her stranded in a foreign country with nowhere to go.
This is where most stories end — with heartbreak, disappointment, and a quiet flight home. But not Robinson.
She stayed. Then, she became famous — and we’re still watching.
